Review of Eclipse

The book Eclipse is the third book of the Twilight series. The story tells us about the main character, Bella and how her life journeys because of the fact that her boyfriend is a vampire and that her other best friend is a werewolf. In this book, Bella is again being chased down by her enemy, Victoria, who happens to hate her, although we’re not really told why. At first, there are mysterious happenings and they found out about the killings of several towns, which were due to the fact of young vampires. Some of the mysterious happenings were when somebody went to Bella’s bedroom, to pick up some of her clothing, which would have her scent, so that they could trace her later onwards. This all eventually leads to them thinking of a very complicated plan, and to deceive Victoria. However, during all these events, there was something that really kept bugging her that was at the back of her mind and she really wasn’t looking forward to deciding. She had to choose her future love, whether she would go with Edward, her love, who also happened to be a vampire, or to choose her best friend, who happened to be a guy and also happened to be a werewolf. When her best friend, Jacob, tells her that he loves her, more than a friend, she realises that she also loves Jacob. In the end, Victoria’s revenge was overcome by Jasper’s plan, who is a brother of Edward, and Bella chooses to marry Edward.
This story was set in Forks, Washington DC in America, with references to other close towns or cities such as Olympia. What I liked about the story was the way that the author, Stephanie Meyer describes the different stories, or events, in such a way that makes it very intriguing. I also liked the plot of the story, as the vampire happenings were being connected with the recent news, and the plot is very suspenseful. I think I could best relate to Alice, who in the story is also a vampire and can see events into the future. I think I can relate best because in the story, she is depicted as being a fun, very crazy girl that loves to do things such as choosing a dress for a girl who really doesn’t like dresses. She can see into the future, and she is loyal to all your friends and family, so I can relate to Alice the most.
I really enjoyed this book and I would give it a nine out of ten, because of the plot, and the style as in the way it is written, like making it suspenseful.

Wall Wisher
TRYING OUT SOMETHING NEW.....I THINK STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO POST THEIR COMMENTS...
Wall Wisher is an online notice board maker. It gives us a virtual space where we can post short text notes in the same way that we could put post-it notes onto a notice board in the classroom. But this noticeboard can be shared between people all over the world. As well as text notes we can add images, video and links to other websites.
It’s a neat way of getting a shared space to collect ideas from people for a brainstorm. We can exchange ideas and express our feelings....
